For the record, I never think the people I slash are gay. Doesn’t mean I don’t want him and John to have sex though. :p Also most people write him as asexual I find.

man I feel a bit like a douchebag now.

The short version is that it’s cool, I don’t mind people slashing them at all, my problems are more with the way the production deals with the issue and how some fans I’ve seen are weird and gross about fetishizing queer men and stuff.

Personally I mean I kind of ship it myself anyway?  (The BBC Sherlock and Watson I ship, I tend to not ship them in any other canon though because I prefer my Sherlocks asexual).  But I tend to end up just being so angry at the way it’s treated by the studio or writers or WHOEVER is responsible that I just… bah.

And then I come on tumblr and there’s a lot of bullshit about how they’re REALLY GAY and then it starts going into all this gross stuff that’s totally OOC for them but hey queer men are for the consumption of fangirls amirite

yeah.  no one I follow is a douche about this kind of thing at all, just to make that clear.  So if I’m following you you can rest assured that I’m not cranky about your feelings re: sherlock.  It’s things I see elsewhere around tumblr that shit me.

and the way it’s written/treated by the studio.
